Critical Links of Artists
In the exam, I will be working on a project revolving around my own restaurant and bar. It will be called Willow Tears, and I will be working on different menu designs for it, to make the restaurant look and seem more unique with a bit of colour and class at the same time.
Studio JQ
- The use of variety and vibrance in colour scheme, similar to my ideals.
Foreign Policy Design Group
- Chosen for design type, with simplicity and menu theme.
Randy Grskovic
- Chosen for themes of nature linking to my flora and fauna theme.
Francesca Pageo
- Her use of the variety of shapes she uses that sets a tone of simplicity but with a mix of class inspires my work.
- Made use of FPDG's box-like shapes and colour themes on how they combine and contrast 2 opposite colour shades together aswell as the aesthetic of randomly placed shapes
- Different colour schemes based on the context of menu's, earlier the time, the more warmer the colour. Later the day, the more colder the colour.

DEVELOPING MENU DESIGN
Taking inspiration from Francesca Pageo's art pieces, I replicated her use of warped shapes onto my enhanced versions of my best 20 chosen flowers. Then mirrored a small detail of her's, using her style of simple circles adding a finishing touch onto corners of her warped images.
I also added a matching hue
and brightness to compliment the menu's specific colour theme.
